Originally a typical cowboy wandering the rugged frontier and battling outlaws, his life took a dramatic turn when he rescued Don Vincente Gomez from the notorious bandit El Terror. Gomez shared with him the legend of Red Mask, a Zorro-like hero from a century ago who defended the poor and oppressed in the Rio Grande with his rapier and gun.
Inspired by this tale, the mysterious traveler decided to strike fear into the heart of El Terror by adopting the identity of RedMask himself. He continued to use this guise to confront other foes, embodying the spirit of the legendary hero.
