Genre: Horror Awake is a silent horror comic about the authors personal experiences with Sleep Paralysis, and is a depiction of the sleep paralysis experience.
With some subtle nods to modern isolation and social fatigue, Awake asks questions as to how the unconscious can influence our lives in subtle and not-so subtle ways. Drawn traditionally with high-contrast heavy blacks and high impact experimental page layouts. Bren has been compared to Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, and Moebius.
Awake is 24 pages. A good comparison would be the Babadook.
