JOE PLANT COMIX

Joe Plant Comix is a series about a botanist who is stabbed by a strange plant he can’t identify and as a result, transforms into a human/plant hybrid with plant growing powers. Joe Smith, Botanist is now hybrid Joe Plant, who decides to leave his previous life and loved ones (his girlfriend, Teresa and loyal dog, Charlie) on a personal mission to help our planet.

He uses his new found abilities to pursue the noble action of restoring Earth’s dying and destroyed ecosystems caused by human generated activities.  While performing this feat he experiences a journey of self discovery with the aide of two new found companions: a hummingbird and bumblebee (they appear in ISSUE 3 now in progress).

During his attempts in restoration, he encounters obstacles and factions that would prefer he not interfere in their profit making operations. He is also a fugitive from justice having committed a crime out of vindication.

ISSUE 1: “JOE PLANT’S AMAZING ADVENTURES IN THE AMAZON RAINFOREST” places our botanical hero in the jungles of Brazil where he helps indigenous people fight off greedy gold miners who are destroying the land. ISSUE 2: explains and shows how JOE SMITH becomes JOE PLANT.

There is humor intertwined within these story lines along with informative  facts  about our environment.
