Here There Be Monsters is a haunting graphic novel anthology which unfolds across five interconnected stories spanning the years 2022 to 2089. When humanity discovers the existence of the Umbrans—an intelligent and alien species living dormant and undetected on Earth—a brutal struggle for dominance erupts. Through shifting perspectives across one timeline, the series traces the escalation of the conflict between humans and Umbrans while laying bare the darkest facets of human nature: fear, greed, and an insatiable hunger for control. Here There Be Monsters challenges readers to confront what truly makes a monster—and whether it’s the alien invader or the human response that should terrify us most.

In Book One: Tom and Charlie Belmont return to their late grandfather’s ranch hoping to rebuild what’s been lost. Their plans are derailed when they make a strange discovery on the edge of their property. Long-simmering tensions between the brothers are cast aside, as they must fight for their very lives.
