An oddball/nonhuman sci-ish-fantasy buddy comic series that refuses to scream at you (or not be weird) about indecision, trauma, and addiction.

Toe, a hulking gray humanoid, and So Long, a fluffy black kitty, wander (endlessly) a Plain of Doors that lead to an infinite amount of scenarios for them to experience. It’s a routine that’s left this dynamic duo in an accepting haze. They share many memories from their adventures, but there’s a missing piece to every journey that they’ve always just…ignored. Soon, the pair will find a purpose for their searching impulses, starting a new journey along a path they thought they’d already traveled a dozen times before.

Toe & So Long is a shonen-style, sci-fantasy buddy comic presented in a “Door-of-the-Day” format with an underlying story that deals with the themes of indecision and addiction, taking its main characters through a healthy variety of experiences and self-discovery. After all, that’s what it takes to become a fully realized character in a world of endless options. Wielding incredible powers they are seemingly unaware of (despite executing them every issue), the duo’s endless meandering begins to result in a seemingly predestined path of self-discovery and unseen adversity inside and out, exploring the themes of indecision, trauma, and addiction along the way.

New and fascinating characters will appear to Toe & So Long in every issue’s unique environment, meaning that readers will never get bored! Unlike the anime of our youth, though, we’ll never get bogged down in recaps and filler. Every step of the journey is meaningful, and every face along the way is intriguing (even if the faces are identical).
